DRESS CODE & PACKING LIST
How much should I bring overall?
Enough for about 7–10 days. You’ll have laundry access and limited cabin space.
Should I pack in a suitcase, trunk, or bins?
Anything works, but under-bed bins or trunks are usually the easiest for tight cabin storage. Plastic drawers are also super helpful—they give you a place to organize your clothes and even act as a “nightstand” by your bed.
Keep in mind that you’ll likely be moving cabins most weeks, so we recommend bringing something that’s easy to carry and transport. (Don’t worry—staff will help you move!)
Helpful options:
How many swimsuits should I being?
At least 2 swimsuits are required, but many staff recommend bringing more since you’ll be in the water often.
How many pairs of shoes should I bring?
At least 1 pair of closed-toe shoes
Sandals with a back strap are allowed
Camp includes dirt, mud, water, and long days, so bring shoes you don’t mind wearing hard all summer.
Can I bring a mattress topper?
Yes—many staff bring one for extra comfort.
Can I decorate my cabin?
Yes—simple decor is great and can help make your space feel like home. We recommend checking places like Dollar Tree or Five Below for easy, affordable options.
Just be sure everything is easy to move, since you may switch cabins throughout the summer. Small items like string lights, rugs, or photos work best—keep it simple!
Are the cabins hot?
No—cabins are air-conditioned, so they stay comfortable throughout the summer.
That said, you’ll be outside a lot during the day, so it’s still helpful to bring lightweight, breathable clothing. Some staff also like having a fan for extra comfort or airflow.
Should I bring a shower caddy?
Not required, but very helpful!
How does laundry work?
A: Bring a laundry bag and plan to do laundry during available times. We recommend bringing a bag that’s easy to carry, as the laundry area is a bit of a walk from the cabins.
A bag with a shoulder strap or backpack-style straps works best.
Helpful option: Backpack Laundry Bag
Do I need a backpack?
Yes! Your backpack will be crucial to carrying your first aid kits and other camp items!
Can I bring a Apple Watch or other Smart Watches?
Yes—a waterproof watch (not a smartwatch) is recommended.
Watches that can receive texts, make calls, or play music are not allowed.
Can I bring snacks?
Yes—snacks are optional.
All snacks must be in resealable containers or single-serving packaging to help keep cabins clean and prevent bugs.
What if I forget something?
There are typically opportunities to go to a store like Walmart if needed. Walmart and amazon will also deliver to camp!
Do I need to bring a first aid kit?
No need! When you get here, we have a fully stocked kit for you!
What medication should I bring?
You only need to bring your prescription medications. Camp keeps common over-the-counter (OTC) medications stocked in the nurse’s station.
During camper weeks, all medications (including OTCs) must be kept in the nurse’s station for the safety of campers. You’ll be able to access them as needed, but they should not be kept in cabins after training.
What about EpiPens or inhalers?
EpiPens and inhalers should be kept with you at all times for immediate access.
