Before stepping on the property, Marannook performs an extensive background check on all staff members. In addition, all counselors must complete the Ministry Safe abuse prevention training.
Marannook has been a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association since 1975.
All staff members, 18+, are CPR and First Aid certified. Marannook employs an onsite registered nurse available around the clock anytime camp is in session.
Marannook uses Red Cross Certified Lifeguards at the pool/lake and ACCT ropes course certified staff on our ropes courses.
Marannook requires all staff to strictly follow and enforce a “three or more” policy, which means there will never be a 1-on-1 interaction in a private setting or behind closed doors between two campers or one camper and one staff member.
